Take Me I'm Yours

Hi everyone, Ella here. Hope you all are having a happy new year! I guess my big news is that I am now ready for my forever home. Yep, The doctor says I'm totally healthy and all my bugs are gone! And guess what else? I weigh 40 whole pounds!

Mr. David got me this pink bow after someone called me a "Cute little fella."

I told Pink Lady not to put this picture up cuz I'm making a funny face! UGH!

That's better! And this one shows off my Christmas toe polish!

Pink Lady and Mr. David always say, "Ella, we sure do love you and we wish we could keep you forever and ever!" I love them too but I know Rocket and Anubis want their mom and dad back full time and I'm excited to get at least one human of my very own-maybe two!

I'm a very good girl. I like all dogs and all people, even little ones. I don't chase Pink Lady's cats, Bounce and Babaloo. I love to play with balls and if you throw them, I bring them back. I love my stuffies. My favorite is a squeaky Spiderman. Bully sticks are me favorite things in the world. When I get a bully stick, I will sit quietly and chew on it for a very long time. Love love love to cuddle and snuggle! I don't bark except at the vacuum. I hate the vacuum. I want the vacuum to die a slow lingering death! Other than that I really do get along with everyone! Queen Tina always says I am "so stinkin' cute" but I don't stink, I promise. I get lots of baths and I think I smell quite nice.

So if you think you might like to be my mom or dad, can you please let Queen Tina or someone at Pit Crew know? Those are my "peeps!" Thank you.

I'm A Model

Hi there. Ella here. I'm sorry I've been away for so long. You see, Pink Lady helps me with my blog and she hurt her shoulder and hasn't been able to do much lately but I asked real nice and she said we could post this picture. I'm really proud of it cuz it's all professional. Mr. David is a photographer and he took some nice photos of me last week. This one is my favorite because it shows off my fancy Christmas toe polish! I feel like such a pretty girl! Pink Lady always tells me I'm the prettiest girl in the world. Sometimes she tells me I'm built like a piece of firewood but I think she's just kidding.

Ella... A Thirty Day Retrospective

When The Queen first saved me last month and brought me to Pink Lady, I was so sad and lonely and hungry and didn't feel very good at all. I was always so cold and my skin hurt really bad. I just liked to sleep all the time because then I didn't have to think about how bad I felt. But living with Pink Lady turned out to be great and lots of really nice people helped out and gave me all kinds of nice things to help me feel better. Now I feel so good inside and out. My skin is all healed up and I have lots of fur so I stay nice and warm. I get all the food and treats I want so many hugs and snuggles and lots of toys! I also have my friend Jasper the Lab and boy to I love our rough and tumble play sessions every day. I like to sneak up on him and jump on his head the best. Pinks Lady says that's my signature move! As for Jasper, he likes to put my whole head in his mouth and throw me to the ground. The humans always make gasping noises and say, "Jasper! Play nice!" when he does that but he  IS playing nice cuz I  like it!
I am no longer starving, that's for sure! A month ago I weighed less that 14 lbs and now I weigh almost 30! Pink Lady put these pictures together so you can see how I've changed. I'm fatter, furrier, and WAY happier! It's good to be a pit bull puppy named Ella!

Not So Fun And Games

Hi! Ella here. Sorry it's been so long since I have posted on my blog. I have just been so busy. A large part of my day is spent chewing things up. I like to chew boxes, magazines,  junk mail, paper towels, my sweaters, bark off of the firewood, rugs, pillows, cereal boxes, the cute pink head phones Pink Lady saves from Virgin America airplanes, my leash,  my collar, Jasper's head, Mr. David's head, my medicine bottles, tree branches, fake flowers, real flowers,  copy paper, plastic wrappers from the garbage, grass, weeds, leaves, dirt, hoses... oh and today I dug up a deer skull and chewed on that until Pink Lady screamed and came to take it away from me. At first I thought we were playing a game called keep-away like Jasper and I play with our toys, so I ran and ran with that deer skull in my mouth and Pink Lady ran after me yelling, "Ella! Drop it! Ella! Come here! Give me that! That is disgusting!" Ella!!!!" Finally I got tired so I stopped and gave Pink Lady a chance to steal it from me and put it in her mouth and run off. As soon as I caught my breath I could chase after her and more fun would be had! Ooooooh Booooooy! But do you know what? That dumb lady with the pink hair and the pictures drawn all over her arms did not put that deer skull in her mouth and run away. She took that skull in her hands and WALKED over to the garbage can and just threw it right inside. And then that game of deer skull keep-away was over just about before it began! OH BROTHER is all I can say about that! Anyway...

My Big Day

Hi, Ella here! I had a big day today. Pink Lady and I went on a long car ride from Napa to Folsom so we could see Queen Tina and I could have my vet appointment. I love to ride in the car so that was fun. When we got to Petsmart there were lots of friendly people there who kept telling me how fabulous I looked and it made me feel like a movie star. I have lots of friends at Petsmart and they take my picture and give me big hugs so I am happy to go there anytime!

The vet said even though I look good, I still have a lot of mites in my skin so Pink Lady has to double my medicine and give me my coconut spas every three days. She also said I get to keep eating and eating and eating! This was the best news of all cuz boy do I like to eat! When I was a little puppy before Queen Tina came and saved me, I didn't have any food to eat and I felt so sick and terrible. Now I'm the happiest girl in the world because I have all the food I need, and guess what? I weigh almost 22 pounds! That might not sound like very much but two weeks ago I only weighed 13. They don't call me Ella-phant for nothing! Sometimes they call me Chunky Monkey or Elly Belly. I think these are the nicest compliments!

So, it  was a very nearly perfect day...except that I peed on the passenger seat of the car on the way home and then I couldn't sit over there anymore and look out the window. I thought for sure Pink Lady would clean it up for me so I could go back to looking out the window. She always makes everything so nice for me.  But this time, she didn't make it nice. She just kept driving and said, "Well Ella, that's what you get for peeing in the car. Too bad, so sad." Sigh.

Family

Ella here. I hope everyone is having a warm, safe day with food for your tummies and love for your hearts. Remember that family is just the people who love you and throw a ball for you and don't care if you're bald. Maybe you have known them forever or maybe you only met them last week. They might have two legs or they might have more but if they make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and they make you feel safe and most of all if they make you feel like you belong and you will never be alone, that's a family.

Jasper is the best "tug" partner ever and he always shares his toys with me cuz that's what family does! He also shows me all around the backyard and lets me know where all the good smells are.

I want to say thank you to Queen Tina and the kingdom of Pit Crew for finding me a family. I'm the happiest pit bull puppy there ever was! Have a happy day everyone~

Fun And Games

Ella here. I just love to play with toys and love to play games. Pink Lady always makes sure I have plenty to do between my many naps so I don't get bored. I am a lucky puppy because I have so many toys. Pink Lady also gives me these big long sticks that taste so good I chew on them for hours. I don't know what they are but Pink Lady says she'll tell me when I'm older. For now she just calls them Bully Sticks.

It's been raining a lot lately and I do not like to get wet unless it's for my coconut spas so we've been playing lots of indoor games. Pink lady throws my toys down the hall for me and I run after them and scoop them up in my mouth and bite them so they make a squeaky noise. The Mr. Bill toy doesn't squeak though. When I bite him he says, "Ooooh noooo!" When I run down the hall with Mr. Bill in my mouth saying "Oooooh noooooo"  that just cracks Pink Lady up every time!

I really like it when Jasper the lab comes over, which is almost every day. He likes to play tug with me. Our favorite toy is a big mouse with long legs and arms and we each grab part of it and pull and pull. I like this game because I get to practice my tugging and my growling. Jasper is very big compared to me and very strong but I don't give up and pretty soon Jasper is panting and has to go to the kitchen to get water and I'm not even tired so I think that makes me the winner!
